Thank you so much for speaking to our YES, Inc. Classroom. We call ourselves Young Empowered and Skilled and you have challenged us to further develop our skills with your "Be Your Word" presentation. You fired up our company of young leaders. It was interesting to see each word chosen by our students. They too were eager to see the words we, their teachers, had chosen. Partnering us up held us accountable for being our word throughout the week.
This was an incredible activity and we still talk about it today. In fact just the other day, I called out to the class offering a management point to any team who could come up to the front of the room and demonstrate how their partners continue to use their word in their lives. We keep this lesson alive and challenge ourselves to adopt new words on our own each week. The best compliment we received actually came for the absent students. When the witnessed the follow up of our lesson and your presentation, they really realized that they missed something special and extra ordinary when they were absent the day you presented. You'd think we gave them the golden egg for the magic goose when we presented them with their words. You've made a difference in our lives Thank you very much for your investment in the lives of our students.

My word for the week was "peacemaker". Being challenged with the word peacemaker is extremely tough. There are a lot of people who don't believe in peace and think conflict is the only way to solve problems. So trying to spread peace is not only difficult but somewhat impossible for some. The only way to successfully make peace, is to make peace within yourself.

In my business:
As a Chiropractic Practice it was obvious from the first week how effective these words worked with my staff!! The one that stands out the most is: URGENT. What I experienced was that my employees started taking those few extra seconds to complete a task in the moment verses waiting until later. So with this little shift in awareness we were able to see more patients. As the doctor, I am extremely happy with the results.
In my family:
I am a single mother with two teenage sons and out of frustration I was looking for answers. My big question was how do I communicate with them and how do they communicate with me. A friend told me about this program that involves words. During our first family meeting we each pulled our own word and right away we decided this was way too easy and would not work. Because we felt it was our last option, we decided to give it a shot. After a couple of meetings we started learning how each of these words meant different meanings to each other. This opened up a line of communication that we were missing. Once we let our guard down we connected as a family. We now look forward to our family meetings and sharing our words.
In my relationship:
Even hearing the words relationship felt uneasy with me. I wanted one, yet always seemed to be out of them more than I was in one. I came across this program working with words and immediately became interested. What I though would happen would be that I would get that great relationship to come into my life. What happened instead was the one I received with myself. I know now that I am ready to love again and I will BE MY WORDS.
In my personal growth:
I have spent thousands of dollars in personal development. When I was introduced to Mai World Works it seemed like such a simple concept yet when I started the program and using the words it became apparent that it is simple yet at times challenging. The week of the presidential election my word was "priceless." You need to know that I was not going to vote, reason not important. One afternoon while driving home I came across a sign that said "Your Vote Is Priceless." It hit me that my word became bigger than my opinions and I ended up voting as well as understanding the importance of my vote. This program works and of all the money I have paid to learn in seminars, this is the "priceless" addition I needed.
In my school program:
I am a fourth grade teacher and it was near the end of the school year when I realized how powerful this program is...a simple word like BEAUTIFUL had me questioning the impact it would have on my students. A young girl in my class picked that very word and was transformed from having a negative self image to someone that I hardly recognized. All of the sudden her chin was up, her shoulders were back and she started making eye contact with other students in her school. It was as if she actually became her word.
